Dig your satellite stompers out of your wardrobe and freshen up your feather boas, for Harry Styles has finally made his long-awaited return! After announcing his upcoming album ‘Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally’ (already been shortened by fans to ‘Kissco’) earlier this January, we have been further spoiled with not just a tour announcement (that my bank account is already crying about), but a single release too.
‘Aperture’ strays away from Styles’ previous pop-heavy album ‘Harry’s House’ and his debut rock-centric album, showcasing his versatility and talent. With an electric track and a midnight-disco vibe, he teases a new era of music that is new and eccentric at the same time, fitting his vibe perfectly.
Notable lyrics from the track include “aperture lets the light in”, which precedes the chorus and calls out to photographers, as well as the featured line of the chorus “we belong together”. The latter had been teased the week before the single’s release in a mysterious voice note that fans weren’t quite sure was Harry himself until today. Overall, the entire song fosters a sense of togetherness and tenderness through the lyrics that gives it a unique beauty, managing to come across as heart-felt and ready-to-party all at once.
The single only further builds anticipation for the rest of Harry’s album and confirms that his upcoming tour will be an emotional rollercoaster. Experiencing a setlist including tear-jerking songs such as ‘Matilda’ as well as gentle rave vibes, as shown in ‘Aperture’, will certainly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for fans that manage to snatch tickets in the upcoming ticket war.
Via his return, Harry Styles has once again managed to capture the hearts of thousands and cause mass excitement world-wide, promising a memorable 2026 for the pop-loving girlies and disco lovers alike. If ‘Aperture’ gives us any clue to how the entirety of ‘Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally’ will sound, then we can be certain that his upcoming album will be boogie-worthy synth-pop with a side of romance and tenderness.
