The particularly talented, five-piece band Kawala is about to release the “Kawala collection” album on January 31. The record will consist of some of the best songs written by the band over the past year.

The single “Old me” is part of that wonderful collection. The single was released on September 18 and is a fantastic blend of melodic guitar riffs, strong drum beats, and can’t help but make you feel nostalgic.

Even though it appears the single was written for the band members themselves as a reflection of their fears of the future, it does draw attention to a subject that a lot of people don’t tend to think about, or they willingly ignore – that no one is prepared for becoming older one day.

The song makes you daydream about who you want to become in the future, in hopes that you will have a significant other, good friends, money to pay your bills and good health.

With its soft vocals and immaculate harmonies, it makes the song easy to listen to, drifting away into your own world of hopes and dreams. The band is particularly proud of working with the talented Ed Nash of Bombay Bicycle Club, whom they co-wrote the single with. The lyric video is also out now and you can watch it on YouTube.
