Emerging pop artist LOIS has a unique knack for translating complex emotions into emotive songwriting, as well as for producing very catchy songs. Her latest single ‘SEVEN’ off her sophomore EP, which is set for release later this Summer, is no exception.
‘SEVEN’ deals with the transition into adulthood and all of the emotions that come with being your own boss for the first time. The single is both infectious and relatable. By dealing with the conflicting feelings of enjoying new-found freedom but being worried about an uncertain future, LOIS accurately chronicles the tempestuous nature of being in your early 20s.
Nostalgic and captivating, the track is pop-perfect with ethereal melodies and alternative production. The song’s upbeat sound conveys a bittersweet feeling, accurately reflecting the track’s subject matter. With this latest release, LOIS has proved that this new era is her most exciting yet.
