For the past two years, Jodie Bryant’s ‘Discover Live’ has been a staple in London’s grassroots music scene, providing a platform for emerging artists and fostering a tight-knit community of music lovers. Now, after selling out every event and upgrading venues three times, ‘Discover Live’ is taking the next step – going on tour.

This spring and summer, ‘Discover Live’ will travel beyond London, bringing its signature monthly music discovery nights to three new cities. The tour kicks off at The Louisiana in Bristol on 8th April, followed by The Hope & Ruin in Brighton on 13th May, and wraps up at The Lodge in Manchester on 17th June. Tickets went live on Friday 28th February, even before the line-ups were announced, proving audiences’ trust in ‘Discover Live’ for unforgettable curated events of new music.

Taking ‘Discover Live’ on the road is more than just an expansion – it’s a mission. While London remains the epicentre of the UK music industry, it’s also notoriously expensive and therefore inaccessible. The capital city often feels like the only viable option for artists trying to break through, but thriving local music scenes have and always will exist across the country, and they deserve just as much attention and investment.

“We’ve been so lucky to have people travel from all over the UK to attend our London shows, and now it’s time to give back,” Bryant shares. “We’re ready to take ‘Discover Live’ to new cities and keep championing independent artists where it really matters.”

‘Discover Live’ has built a reputation for unearthing hidden gems, and has played a pivotal role in launching several emerging artists into the spotlight. Up-and-coming alt-pop artist Catty was booked to support none other than Stevie Nicks at BST Hyde Park after performing at ‘Discover Live’, and a host of artists have received their debut BBC Radio 1 plays following performances at Jodie’s night, including Lex Gibbon, Kat Penkin, Glowe, and Nxdia.

Beyond simply putting on great shows, ‘Discover Live’ is striving to shift the industry landscape. It’s a space where independent artists – those without the backing of a major label, a hefty budget, or a dedicated booking agent – can get the attention they deserve. Bryant’s vision is to continue breaking down barriers and ensuring that incredible new artists don’t go unheard simply because they lack industry connections.

As ‘Discover Live’ prepares to hit the road, anticipation is building. Line-ups for each date will be announced in the coming weeks, but if the event’s track record is anything to go by, audiences can expect a stellar mix of undiscovered talent ready to make waves. For artists and music lovers alike, this tour isn’t just about live shows – it’s about shaping the future of independent music.
