Flo Gallop is a pop sensation you’re going to want to know. With her highly relatable lyrics, catchy hooks, and unfiltered storytelling, she’s quickly gaining recognition from key tastemakers such as Mollie King (Radio 1), Jess Iszatt (BBC Introducing), and Jodie Bryant (Discover Live).
To celebrate the release of her highly anticipated single Pyjama Party, which came out at the end of September, Flo hosted a sold-out, slumber-themed gig in the heart of Soho. Fans gathered at The Lower Third dressed to the nines in matching PJ sets and fluffy slippers, perfectly capturing the vibe of the night. The venue was decked out with balloons, confetti, and posters of iconic noughties stars, while the merch stand overflowed with fun touches like sour sweets and sleep masks. It truly felt like one big pyjama party.

Alt-pop artist Will Bryant kicked off the evening with his vulnerable lyrics and silky vocals, setting the perfect tone for the night. Soon enough, it was time for Flo to take centre stage, dazzling the crowd in a gold sequin pyjama suit. Her high-energy performance had fans dancing, jumping, and shouting along to every word. Flo’s powerhouse vocals shone among the glittering confetti and soft, ambient lighting, creating a cosy yet electric atmosphere. To close her standout track, Pyjama Party, Flo grabbed a pillow full of feathers, showering the crowd.
I caught up with Flo after her performance.
Olivia: Congratulations on such an incredible night! There was so much energy and excitement in the air, and your fans were singing along to every word. How did it feel to host such a special, themed show?
Flo: Thank you! I honestly had the most incredible time! I felt truly blessed looking out into the crowd. It is such an amazing feeling to hear words I have written sung back to me and see other people connecting to these lyrics in their own way. But the really fun thing was to create a proper party vibe which I think really did work, and so many people dressed up! I haven’t done anything like this before, and once I had the idea, I just wanted to make it the most hilarious, fun, and Flo Gallop style night possible. I love the idea of people wandering through London travelling to a gig in their dressing gown and slippers.
O: During your set, you mentioned that this was exactly how you envisioned Pyjama Party’s release show when you wrote it. Can you tell me more about what inspired the track in the first place?
F: Weirdly enough the idea came in the cinema – we were watching a film and a pyjama scene came on and I thought, how cool would a song be if it was based around being in your pyjamas? I am fully obsessed with being in my pj’s or the most comfy clothes possible. I had visions of me promoting the song around London in the most ridiculous pyjamas. It kinda worked out that the theme of the song and the vision for promo came before the song was even written which is definitely a way I’ve never done it before!
O: You put so much thought into the details, from bedroom posters to bags of sweets – it really felt like a true slumber party! For your perfect movie night, what’s always on your watchlist?
F: So easy! Princess Diaries 1 & 2, Wild Child, Cheetah Girls movie, Hannah Montana movie, Legally Blonde… I could continue, but you get the vibe!
O: Looking ahead, what can we expect from you this year? Are there any new releases, shows, or surprises in the works?
F: Next year I am getting ready to enter a new era that hopefully will take things to the next level. Being a new artist is TOUGH and I think it’s important to change things and trial new ideas to see what works best and what people like. Honestly, it’s one of the best parts about being an independent artist because you have complete freedom with what you’re putting out to the world and when you want to switch it up. I have big ideas for gigs next year which will be equally as cool as the pyjama party, and new music very soon, so stay tuned!
