On June 5th, indie-pop band Only The Poets took on KOKO in Camden to celebrate their new EP “One More Night.” The band played a captivating show in front of hundreds of fans from all over Europe.

Only The Poets know how to create an incredible atmosphere, with energy radiating from the band and spreading throughout the crowd. Having seen them perform numerous times, each show somehow surpasses the previous one. I was accompanied by a friend who was not familiar with their music, and she absolutely loved it. Whether you know all their lyrics or just one song, Only The Poets is a band you must see at least once. The comfort within the crowd, created by both the fans and the band, was palpable. Everyone lived in the moment and took care of one another, making the concert experience even better. The connection between the band and their fans was clear, showing how music brings people together.

The stunning venue, KOKO, enhanced the show even more. From the disco ball to the well-thought-out stage lighting and intimate setup, everything felt intentional and geared toward the concertgoer experience.

A highlight was when Tommy and Clem left the stage to perform “Black and Blue” acoustically in the center of the crowd. The silence of the crowd allowed for Tommy’s raw emotion to echo throughout the room. Fans expressed their love for this moment on social media, with one fan tweeting, “This song already has a special place in my heart. It’s so perfect and beautifully heartbreaking.”

The band reminisced about their early days playing in small pubs, expressing genuine gratitude for their fans’ support. The show ended on a high with “Emotional,” bringing the crowd together one last time. The night concluded with a final goodbye and a sincere thank you to fans. The experience at the show was fantastic, with the perfect mix of atmosphere, stage presence, and setlist ensuring a great evening for all.
