Bring Me The Horizon released their long-awaited album,
“POST HUMAN: NeX Gen” in May 2024.
If you haven’t heard of the band, where have you been?
The British rock superstars surprised fans with this latest release after four
years, following on from their previous drop in 2020.
The album opens with a nineteen second intro to ease listeners into the sound and build
anticipation for the music.
The album as a whole is true to the band this song is classic Bring Me The Horizon. The
lyricism pairs spectacularly with the heavy music in the backtrack and creates a loud,
boisterous harmony.
DArkSide was a stand-out track. The sixth song from the album features
deep lyrics with a hard rock instrumental backing, coming together to form easily one of
the best from the album in my opinion.
A final record that encouraged listeners to head out and buy a physical copy of this
album was AmEN!
The single features Lil Uzi Vert and Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw and
again, undeniably mirrors Bring Me The Horizon’s classic sound.
It refers inordinately to religious insinuations over dark, heavy music and incorporates multiple references to
other pop culture with, in my opinion, perfect execution.
So, if you were holding off listening to this album, hopefully this has given the final push.
Bring Me The Horizon never fails to impress, and this record does not fall short.
Praiseworthy, authentic and exciting, this album may be a new personal favourite.
