Fontaines D.C. announce their biggest headline show to date at London’s iconic Finsbury Park.
Earlier today Fontaines D.C. posted announcing that they will be playing their biggest outdoors headline show to date next year at Finsbury Park on Saturday 5th July. The short, yet seemingly no expense spared video was shot on stage in the park, and it teased to fans a new song from their extremely anticipated upcoming album. Performing alongside them will be Australian punk rock band, Amyl and The Sniffers, who are said to have reputation for their electrifying stage show, as well as Irish hip hop trio, Kneecap, who fuse their mix of Irish and English lyrics withan intoxicating youthful energy. There will be acts more announced nearer to the date but there is no doubt that they will only add to this already smashing line-up.
It is important to note that this is a rather fitting venue for Fontaines D.C. to headline as their first London show in 2017 was at The Finsbury Pub, located on the outskirts of the park. It really puts into perspective how much they have grown over the last 7 years as they will have gone from playing to around 30 people to near enough 45,000 people, who for sure will travel from all over to experience their experimentally captivating live show.
If you are interested, then you can pre-order their new album ‘ROMANCE’ (released August 23rd) from their official store now to gain pre-sale access to buy tickets from 10am on August 7th. However, if you are unable to do so or if the pre-sale tickets fly by then you will be able to have a go purchasing tickets in the general sale on Ticketmaster at 10am on Friday 9th August. If you are unable to contain your excitement and wait until next year to catch the growing Dublin phenomenon, they will be going on a headline tour later this year in the following cities (please be aware that some are already sold out!):
