The sibling duo Wasia Project, made up of Olivia Hardy and William Gao, took their fans on an unforgettable journey during their sold out home show on biggest headline tour to date – the Isotope Tour. Known for their raw and emotional lyrics, Wasia Project brought on an unforgettable performance that was the perfect balance between energy and intimacy.
The night started with Hohnen Ford who performed a captivating opening performance setting the tone for the night and complimented Wasia Project’s dynamic perfectly. Fans praised her as her music is not only impressive but also emotionally profound, making her a standout opener for their UK tour.
They took the stage with ‘Is This What Love Is?’ and the crowd burst into cheers, taking in their first glimpse of the evening. The setlist, filled with back-to-back hits such as ‘Ur So Pretty’ and ‘Takes Me Back Home’ turned the crowd into an unofficial choir and every chorus became a shared moment. Each song showcased the band’s unique sound, blending indie-pop with jazz and R&B, their voices radiating emotion through every lyric. On top of their own hits, Wasia Project surprised the crowd with a stunning cover of ‘Smooth Operator’. Their rendition added a lovely twist to the Sade classic.
Olivia’s stage presence was truly captivating, energetic and at times ethereal. As well as William’s piano playing which complemented his vocals and added a rich layer to their performance. The entire night felt like a celebration of the unique artistic world Wasia Project has built and it truly was an unforgettable night on the Isotope Tour.
