If you’re a fan of Gracie Abrams or Holly Humberstone, then Francesca Everly is an artist I feel confident you’ll want to add to your playlist. Born and raised in Rome, Francesca made the move to London several years ago in pursuit of launching her career as a songwriter and artist. Over lockdown, Francesca launched her solo project, which has seen multiple single releases, and on 15th November 2024, she released her biggest body of work to date: her debut mini-album, feeling this heart like I’ve never felt it.

This body of work explores the breadths of the human experience, exploring love, loss, and everything in between. Francesca reflects, “Whether you’re dancing through the pain or reflecting in the quiet moments, this album speaks to anyone who has ever felt the intensity of being truly alive.”

Following its release, Francesca has received an abundance of support, from Spotify to Earmilk, and it’s not difficult to see why. This collection of songs displays the artist’s ability to write introspective, vulnerable, and honest lyrics, whilst wrapping them up in indie-pop goodness – catchy melodies that stick in your brain and warm textures that feel reminiscent of slow, summer days (a distant memory during these winter months!).

I particularly loved the opening track, Disconnected. It differs somewhat in production-style from the other more organic tracks, and yet so perfectly sets the scene for what’s to come – raw lyrics, emotive vocals, and rich soundscapes. The entire mini-album transitions seamlessly from track to track, and it’s clear that Francesca had a vision and wanted to create a world surrounding these songs for the listener to get lost in.

Francesca’s launch show is taking place in London on 28th January 2025 at the Waiting Room, sponsored by Future Hits Radio and Songs Behind the Music. It’s set to be an indie-pop-filled night – one you won’t want to miss.
