One of Canada’s largest music festivals returns for its 19th year in Montreal, QC. With a star-studded lineup of homegrown and international talents, Osheaga 2025 has set expectations high and are looking to deliver the festival experience of the summer.

With previous acts including Chappell Roan, Billie Eilish, and Dua Lipa, we’ve compiled our list of female-led performances we are most looking forward to at Osheaga 2025:

Doechii

If anyone has had an electric year, it’s Doechii. From Soundcloud to sold-out shows, Doechii continues on her meteoric rise following the release of her third mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal, and will be making her rounds on the festival circuit this summer.

Her animated and over-the-top performances of DENIAL IS A RIVER and Alter Ego will certainly have the crowd in a frenzy.

And with Doechii and Tyler, The Creator sharing another festival lineup this year, perhaps we can expect to see a collaborative performance of Balloon by the two artists.

Canadian rock band The Beaches have had yet another incredible year. Claiming 2 awards for best rock album and best group at the 2025 JUNO Awards earlier this year, the band is set to release their next highly-anticipated album No Hard Feelings on August 29th. Their upcoming performance at Osheaga will, without doubt, turn new listeners onto their tunes just in time for the new album.

We hope to hear The Beaches play their hits Blame Brett and Jocelyn on the Osheaga stage. Our fingers are crossed we are treated to some unreleased songs from the new album along with their new single, Last Girls At The Party

Gigi Perez

Gigi Perez is another act that has quickly become a fan favourite at Osheaga 2025. Gigi will be gracing the Osheaga stage at the end of her headline tour before joining Irish singer-songwriter Hozier on his tour through the US and South America.

Listeners have been enthralled with Gigi’s enchanting voice, especially online sensation Sailor Song which made it onto her recently released album, At The Beach, In Every Life

Gigi’s musicianship is in complement to the two previous acts discussed, offering a great variety of sounds at this year’s festival.

Aqyila

We’re looking forward to the graceful vibe that Canadian R&B star Aqyila is bringing to Montreal this summer. Having recently released her debut album, Falling Into Place, and opening for Pink Sweat$ on his The Welcome Home Tour, we know Aqyila is primed and ready to go for her performance at Osheaga. We hope to hear her perform fan-favourites like Bloom, Wolf, and Most Wanted.

Aqyila’s notable performance of Bloom at the 2025 JUNO Awards was strong yet enchanting and calming in such a unique way that we can only hope to experience a bit of her magic this August.

Alemeda

Currently on tour opening for Rachel Chinouriri, Alemeda is another star we’re looking forward to seeing at Osheaga this year. There are few women like Alemeda making alt-pop music and even fewer performing at her level. She doesn’t hold back in her lyrics, with many of her songs about self-discovery, cutting off what doesn’t serve you, empowerment, and growth. Her honesty in her work and the electric opening performances she’s giving on tour have us pumped to watch her onstage in Montreal.

Nooriyah

Nooriyah is a definite stand out at Osheaga this year. Combining different musical cultures in her DJ sets, Nooriyah has impressed audiences around the world. A DJ, producer, and multi-hyphenate musician, she is a musical force to be reckoned with. We hope to hear her combining some of the hottest Latin jams of the summer with influences from Southwest Asia and North Africa, Japan, and the UK. Having previously played at Glastonbury and Coachella, we’re very much looking forward to bouncing along to her set at Osh.

Sofia Camara

Another Canadian native, Sofia Camara is making serious waves in the Canadian and global music scene. Her music has skyrocketed in popularity on Tik Tok and beyond and is now set to tour Europe and the UK later this year with Dean Lewis. A budding performer, we look forward to her performances of With You, Who Do I Call Now? (Hellbent), and Starlight. We have no doubt that the Canadian crowd will loudly welcome and cheer on one of their own, especially someone as talented yet humble as Camara.

Tickets are still available for Osheaga 2025, running from August 1-3 at Parc Jean-Drapeau, Montreal. We hope to see you there!
