Wallows has stormed the indie-rock scene with their biggest tour yet, the 2025 Model and More Tour, an extension of their 2024 Model Tour launched in support of their latest EP, More. Backed by an ever-devoted fan base and expansive discography, their performances feature a rotating setlist that blends fan favorites, classics, and newest singles that provides a unique experience for both old and new fans alike.

One thing I have always admired about fan bases similar to Wallows’ is their dedication not just to the headlining band but to the supporting acts as well. Porches, the synth-pop opener, was greeted with excited energy and genuine enthusiasm from the crowd, a testament to their passion for the music. Porches changed it up a bit from his usual setlist and also hit some of his classic, most popular songs, “Daddies,” “rangerover,” and “Lunch.” Overall, his set really primed us for the evening and got the crowd pumped up for Wallows.
Right off the bat, you could tell that Wallows truly admires their fans. I’ve been to a lot of shows where the artist steps onto the stage and jumps straight into the set, but one thing that always stands out to me about Wallows is how they take a moment to connect with the crowd. Before the first note was even played, they laughed with fans holding up signs, waved to the crowd, and made eye contact with the sea of people before them. Singer and guitarist Braeden Lemasters was the first one to chat with fans right off the bat. Following him, drummer Cole Preston and singer-guitarist Dylan Minnette joined him, each waving to the crowd.

One of the reasons why Wallows’ music has stayed consistent in my playlists is because of the instrumentals and heavy guitar sound, especially in their songs “Uncomfortable,” “Only Ecstasy,” and “Missing Out.” Hearing these tracks live took my love for them to a whole new level. The energy, the volume, and the way the crowd responded made the experience better than just listening to the songs in my car or on my phone.
One thing about Lemasters and Minnette is that they are not shy to step out into the crowd and get more up close and personal with their fanbase. Screams from the front of the pit were heard throughout the whole venue as Minnette stepped into the barricade during “OK.” It wasn’t just the barricade fans that got treated, though! During “Going Under,” Lemasters ran through the lawn, singing directly to fans in the back and holding hands with those who hadn’t expected to be so close to the action.
Based on the crowd’s reaction to “Only Ecstasy,” this song was truly missed in the setlist for a while and its return was welcomed with overwhelming enthusiasm. Closing out the night with the sea of flashlights lighting up the venue reminded me of why I do what I do, and why I love being part of the music industry. A Wallows concert experience summed up is connection, chaos, and the kind of night you never forget. There are still so many chances to see them on tour and at upcoming festivals!
