Manchester’s rising indie-pop star Claudia Fenoglio has delivered her latest EP ‘It Always Fades In The End’ with conviction. Fenoglio has had a very successful 2025, having signed to EMI North and Launchpad+ earlier in the year, and received high praise for singles ‘Julia’ and ‘I didn’t mean to do that!’ The EP marks a pivotal moment in Fenoglio’s career and proves that she is carving her own path through the music industry.
Delicate vocals, softly strummed guitar, and synths kick off the EP with previously released single ‘Julia’. The music soars in the chorus as Fenoglio reminisces and ruminates on the good moments in a relationship. Experimental production and Fenoglio’s captivating vocals make this a very enjoyable song to listen to. The track has a nostalgic and comforting feeling to it with its indie-pop sound and intentional instrumentalism.
‘I didn’t mean to do that!’ combines twinkling production and a slightly more stripped back sound to create a mellow and introspective track. Here, the focus is on the emotions in the song, which are enhanced by Fenoglio’s soft vocals and the layered instruments. At the end, the song’s final chorus is accompanied by Fenoglio repeating the words “I didn’t mean to do that”, which really brings home the feeling of remorse that Fenoglio encapsulates in this track.

‘Make you mine’ is both catchy and intriguing. The song has 80s pop inspired vocals and electronic production which compliments the more indie feel of the music. The song begins with a somewhat eerie sound and then turns hopeful in the chorus where Fenoglio croons “I wanna make you mine”. This track is somewhat of a ballad-anthem hybrid, combining the best of both worlds.
Fittingly, the final song on the EP begins with the words “I’ll save the best one for last”. ‘Ring me when you get this’ is an explosive track that showcases Fenoglio’s adeptness at translating her emotions into her music, and chronicles the ups and downs of queer love. The song begins with a driving beat, layered guitar, and echoing vocals which create a dreamy sound. In the middle, the music drops for just a second as Fenoglio’s voice comes through in voicemail recording style. Fenoglio almost blurts out the word “hello?” right before the music comes back even stronger than before and builds up to its emotional and musical pinnacle. The song finishes with an instrumental arrangement consisting of electric guitar, loud drums and pop production before it fades out (she did tell us that ‘It Always Fades In The End’). It’s the perfect end to this mesmerising EP.
‘It Always Fades In The End’ is set for release via EMI North Records label partner Launchpad+ on the 3rd of October. It’s available to pre-save on streaming services and pre-order in CD format. Add Claudia on social media to keep up to date with her, and grab a ticket to her Hyde Park Book Club show in Leeds, taking place on the 26th of November, to see her live.
