Alt-pop rising solo artist and Karma! Magazine’s Issue 2: Shaping The Future print cover star Nieve Ella has unveiled her latest bold exploration, ‘All My Mess’.

Wholly introspective, Ella turns the narrative of the track inwards – offering a narrative shrouded in self-forgiveness and vulnerable admissions of insecurities (“I can’t even / Look at myself in the mirror”). A love-letter-cum-apology to her younger self, Ella offers regret for only being able to see her flaws – even when those around her are offering unbridled adoration (“Then you’ll tell me / That you love every part of my body / And it makes me sick”).

Sonically, ‘All My Mess’ firmly plants its roots in melancholic pop where her previous releases are drenched in overt, infectious rock (‘Car Park’, ‘Good Grace’). Boasting a lush vocal performance from Ella, subtle guitars wash over the track as she dwells on the destructive nature of self-doubt.

Talking about the new release, Ella confesses, “three years ago I wrote this song in my room as a 19-year-old… I was in my first ever relationship, constantly wondering why I was deserving of this love”.

A welcome and stark tonal shift from Nieve Ella, ‘All My Mess’ marks the end of an exciting year for West Midlands singer-songwriter, and gives promise for more of the same in 2026.
