Music Bank Barcelona is back on the 12th of September – and this time it’s bringing the biggest names in K-pop to one of the city’s most iconic stages. Presented by Korean Power, the global K-pop celebration arrives at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium following last year’s edition in Lisbon, continuing its tradition of treating K-Pop fans to a night full of incredible performances.
This year’s line-up is something truly special. ENHYPEN, ATEEZ, NCT WISH, CORTIS, NMIXX, xikers and ALPHA DRIVE ONE are all set to take to the stage, bringing together some of the biggest names in the industry alongside some of K-pop’s quickest rising groups.
ATEEZ is arriving fresh off the release of their latest EP ‘GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5’, ready to deliver the explosive performances and powerful stage presence that have made them one of K-pop’s biggest acts. Their latest era has already been a huge moment for fans, with their recent music video for ‘BAD’ featuring actress Chase Infinity – a dedicated ATINY herself – already becoming a favourite of the fandom.
ENHYPEN are also entering a new era, having recently announced their upcoming EP ‘THE SIN : BLISS’, set to be released just weeks before Music Bank Barcelona. With fresh music on the horizon, fans will be watching closely and hoping to see the group performing some of their new songs.
CORTIS are another act to watch, who will be making their first ever appearance on a European stage at Music Bank. Having debuted only less than a year ago, they have become the fastest and first 5th generation K-Pop boy group to surpass 1 Billion streams on Spotify, their most streamed song being ‘GO!’ – with an astonishing 209 Million streams (and counting). Their incredible rise in such a short space of time has made them one of K-pop’s most talked-about emerging groups, and their appearance is set to be a special milestone in their journey.
From ENHYPEN’s captivating performances, ATEEZ’s undeniable energy,NMIXX’s unique sound, to NCT WISH’s fresh charm, xikers’ powerful stage presence and ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s highly anticipated appearance, this year’s line-up sets the stage up for an unforgettable night.
Music Bank Barcelona won’t just be about the performances, but also everything surrounding them; fans flying in from all over Europe, crowds of people dancing together outside the stadiums, people trading photocards of their biases, handing out freebies of their favourite groups that they spent hours making by hand and someone inevitably forgetting triple AAA batteries for their lightstick. It’s going to be chaotic – but in the best possible way.
With Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium as the event’s host, Music Bank is ready to create another unforgettable chapter for K-Pop fans across Europe. September can’t come soon enough.
