Leeds based alt-pop artist Lois’ latest single ‘LOVE YOU BETTER’ is a poignant and catchy track about trauma and healing.
The song begins with delicate piano before Lois’ soft vocals enhance the track. This creates an emotional and vulnerable feel to the track, owing to these ballad-like verses.
The pace picks up for a catchy and upbeat chorus with an 80s pop feel to it. Strong and soaring vocals during the chorus capture the feeling of willing recovery and healing to happen faster.
The track’s lyrics are twofold. Honest and emotional, the song deals with the affects of grief and trauma on relationships, as well as the desire to “love people back to health”, according to Lois. Her ability to tap into her vulnerability to deliver a touching and truthful track shows that she’s definitely one to watch.
